Data controller

The data controller is Tarhan Danışmanlık (referred to as “we” in this notice). For any questions or requests about your personal data, you can write to [email protected].

What data we process

• Identity and contact details you share when you call or write to us (first name, surname, phone number)
• Information and documents you share about your relative and their legal situation
• Technical data about your visit to the site (IP address, browser and device information) and, if you give consent, cookie data

For what purposes

• To assess your consultancy request and get back to you
• To establish and carry out the service relationship
• To fulfil our legal obligations
• If you give consent, to measure use of the site and improve our ads

Legal grounds

Your personal data is processed under KVKK Art. 5/2 on the following grounds: it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract; it is necessary to fulfil our legal obligation; and it is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided that this does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms. Special categories of personal data are processed under the conditions listed in KVKK Art. 6. Measurement and advertising cookies are processed with your explicit consent.

Who it is shared with

• At your request and to the extent necessary, the lawyers we work with who will handle your matter
• Authorised public institutions and bodies, when there is a legal obligation
• If you give consent, Google, which provides our measurement and advertising services (its servers may be located abroad; the transfer is made in line with the conditions in KVKK Art. 9)

Messages and documents you send us on WhatsApp may be processed on servers abroad by WhatsApp (Meta), which provides the service. Sending documents such as a photo of a decision through this channel is your choice; if you prefer, you can describe their content over the phone.

How long it is kept

We keep your data for as long as the purpose of processing requires and for the retention periods set out in the relevant legislation. When the period ends, we delete, destroy or anonymise the data.

Your rights

Under KVKK Art. 11, you can apply to us to:

• Find out whether your personal data is processed and, if it is, request information about it
• Find out the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose
• Know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom your data has been transferred
• Ask for your data to be corrected if it is incomplete or inaccurate
• Ask for your data to be deleted or destroyed when the legal conditions are met
• Ask for corrections and deletions to be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred
• Object to a result against you that arises solely from analysis by automated systems
• Claim compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing
