Is your relative at Binkılıç?
It is not far. We are only a phone call away.
Custody, a deportation (deport / sınır dışı) decision, administrative detention (idari gözetim). Tell us what happened; we will tell you right away which deadline is running and what can be done. The initial assessment is free.
We are open at night too. If you do not speak Turkish, write to us on WhatsApp in your own language.
The clock is running
You have 7 days to challenge a deportation decision.
A case against a deportation decision is filed at the administrative court (idare mahkemesi) within 7 days of the decision being notified (tebliğ). If this deadline is missed, the case may be dismissed without being examined. Choose the day the decision was notified, and let us see the last day together.
Law No. 6458, Art. 53
Notification (tebliğ): the day the decision was notified in writing to your relative (or to their lawyer or legal representative).
Choose a date to see the 7-day road and the last day here.
This calculation is for information only. For the exact deadline, have a lawyer read the decision; if you like, send it to us and we will point you in the right direction.

What happens when you call?
Three steps. The first is just a conversation.
We listen
Who, when, which centre, what papers do you have? A short conversation is enough. If you have a photo of the decision, send it on WhatsApp.
We tell you the situation clearly
We explain in plain language which decision was made, which deadline is running and what your options are. This initial assessment is free.
We plan the way forward together
If you want to continue, we discuss the steps and the fee from the start. Court cases and objections are handled through the lawyers we work with.
Calling does not commit you to anything.
What is your situation?
Each situation has its own path and its own deadline.

My relative was taken into custody and I do not know where
Foreigners taken into custody in Istanbul may be sent to different removal centres; Binkılıç is one of them. Let us take the first step together to find out where they are held and which procedure has started.
Call about this situationA deportation (deport / sınır dışı) decision was notified
The 7-day period to file a case starts running on the day after the notification. Even a photo of the decision is enough; let us look right away at the grounds it was based on.

An application against the administrative detention (idari gözetim) decision can be made to the criminal judgeship of peace (sulh ceza hâkimliği). Instead of detention, alternative obligations such as regular reporting or living at a set address can also be requested.
Call about this situationAn entry ban code (tahdit kodu) was placed
What do codes such as Ç-114, G-87 or N-82 mean, and can they be removed? The way forward depends on the type of code and the reason for it.

An objection to the refusal, a new application, or the time given to leave the country. Let us look together at which one is right for you.

Binkılıç guide
Binkılıç is at the western edge of the city. Call before you go.
The centre is in rural Çatalca, in the Binkılıç neighbourhood. The journey by public transport is long and needs several changes. Before you set off to visit, hand over belongings or have a meeting, ask us about the current rules and what you need to bring.
Do not make the trip for nothing: the rules change from time to time.

Frequently asked questions
Questions you may have
How can I visit or speak to my relative at the Binkılıç Removal Centre?
The law provides that a person held at the centre can meet their relatives, their lawyer and consular officials, and can use a telephone (Law No. 6458, Art. 59). Visiting days and procedures depend on the centre’s practice and may change. Call us before you set off; we will tell you the current situation and what you need to bring.
How long do I have to challenge a deportation decision?
Seven days from the notification (tebliğ) of the decision. The case is filed at the administrative court (idare mahkemesi). The court decides within 15 days once the file is complete, and this decision is final. During the period for filing the case, and until the case ends if one is filed, the foreigner is not deported unless they agree to it.
How long can administrative detention last?
Administrative detention (idari gözetim) at a removal centre cannot exceed 6 months. If the deportation cannot be completed because the foreigner does not cooperate, or does not give correct information or documents about their country, it can be extended by up to 6 more months. Whether detention still needs to continue is reviewed every month.
Can administrative detention be challenged?
Yes. An application against the administrative detention decision can be made to the criminal judgeship of peace (sulh ceza hâkimliği); the law sets no separate time limit for this application. The application does not stop the detention by itself; the judge decides within 5 days. If circumstances change, a new application can be made.
Do you charge for the initial assessment?
No. The initial assessment is free and does not commit you to anything.
How are fees set, and who are they paid to?
The initial assessment is free. If you want to go ahead, the consultancy fee, the lawyer’s fee and expenses such as court fees (harç), notary and translation costs are each stated separately and in writing from the start; you receive a document for every payment. If a person in administrative detention cannot afford a lawyer’s fee, a lawyer can be provided for them on request (Law No. 6458, Art. 57(7)); you can also apply for legal aid (adli yardım) from the bar associations.
I do not speak Turkish. What can I do?
You can write to us on WhatsApp in your own language. We will read your message and get back to you.
Are you the migration authority (Göç İdaresi)?
No. We have no connection with any official authority. We are a private firm that advises foreigners and their families; legal proceedings are handled through the lawyers we work with.

However long the road, the first step is a phone call.
