Meaning
One group of sources defines it as a foreigner “whose residence permit was cancelled or who used the permit for a purpose other than its intended one”, the other as a foreigner “carrying an infectious disease that threatens public health”.

The exact meaning and duration should be confirmed from the entry ban notification form (giriş yasağı bildirim formu) notified (tebliğ) to the person.

Usually 5 years under both definitions.
How is it removed?
Administrative application (idari başvuru) and annulment action (iptal davası); if the ground is health-related, a medical report showing that the disease is not present.
